- Add a jolt to your Chrysler/Dodge 361-383-400 V8 engine with this HEI distributor from PROFORM. With its glistening red cap and 50,000 volt spark through 7,500 RPM, this self-contained design requires just one wire to hook up and get you on the asphalt. Features a low-saturation ignition module, premium cap with brass terminals, and a high-power coil. To reduce interference, PROFORM removed the vacuum advance and locked it out; they also tapered the shaft in the area near the valve covers. This HEI distributor measures 14” from the intake manifold flange to the top of the red cap. It will not clear Mopar Performance aluminum valve covers, nor will its size fit certain models, particularly 1962 Plymouth, 1967 GTX, 1968 Coronet, and 1969 Charger.
