Sharp lines and long, defined edges give them a bold, angular profile that reads as aggressive and off-road-ready from across a parking lot—a deliberate step up from the rounded styling of more conventional running boards. The extra-wide 7.5-in. platform gives you noticeably more room to plant your foot compared to standard-width steps, making entry and exit easier for drivers, passengers, and anyone loading gear into the back seat. ​ Construction is 16-gauge galvanized steel throughout, with fully boxed ends that add rigidity and a finished appearance at the tips. The RB20s use a bonded zinc phosphate base coat beneath a premium textured powder coat finish—two layers of rust protection that work from the metal surface outward rather than relying on a single topcoat. The same design is also available in a protective bedliner coating for added durability in severe-use applications. ​ The step surface uses bullet-stamped perforations rather than a flat or louvered design. Those stamped holes keep buildup off the step surface, allowing snow, mud, and moisture to pass directly through the tread rather than accumulate—so your footing stays consistent no matter the conditions. Both finish options add surface texture that improves grip across the platform's full width. ​ The cab-length profile provides continuous rocker panel coverage from front to rear door, protecting against trail debris, rock chips, and incidental contact. Vehicle-specific mounting brackets and hardware are included in every order, and the RB20s install directly to factory attachment points with no drilling into the truck's sheet metal. ​ Installation requires no drilling and can be completed in under 60 minutes with basic hand tools.
